Outbound Call Security with PIN Code Authentication

Protect outbound calls by requiring a PIN code before dialing. Prevent unauthorized system use and control access to calling features with secure authentication.

Purpose

The PIN Code feature provides a security layer for outbound calling by requiring callers to authenticate with a numeric passcode before the system allows calls to connect. This helps prevent misuse of the phone system, restricts unauthorized calls, and ensures that outbound call privileges are limited to approved users only.

How to Navigate

Log in to the SIPcity portal. Then, go to:
SwitchBoard | Outbound | PIN Code section.

How to Configure

  • Enable the PIN Code feature using the main toggle switch
  • Select Call Type from the dropdown (for example, “All calls” or specific outbound categories)
  • Enter a secure PIN Code in the input field (e.g., “1234”)
  • Choose which types of calls require PIN authentication
  • Click SAVE to activate PIN protection
  • Test by placing an outbound call to verify the PIN prompt
  • Distribute the PIN securely to authorized users only
