SIPcity supports two connection methods: registration and SIP peering. When connecting via registration, your phone requires a username (your phone number) and password to authenticate to our network.
Password options
You can use either an account-wide password or set individual passwords for each number:
- Account Password: Re-use your account password across all registered handsets.
- Restricted Lines: Set a unique password for each individual phone number.
Set up a restricted line password
- Log in to your account.
- Select your number.
- Go to Profile.
- Enable Restricted.
- Enter a password (minimum 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and numbers).
- Click Save to update.
Configure your phone
Use your phone’s Web UI to enter the following details:
- Account DID: (See your Welcome email)
- Password: The password you set for this number
- Proxy: call.sipcity.com.au
- Port: 5060
