Configure an IP Phone

Manually enter SIPcity's SIP settings into any compatible IP phone.

SIPcity supports two connection methods: registration and SIP peering. When connecting via registration, your phone requires a username (your phone number) and password to authenticate to our network.

Password options

You can use either an account-wide password or set individual passwords for each number:

  • Account Password: Re-use your account password across all registered handsets.
  • Restricted Lines: Set a unique password for each individual phone number.

Set up a restricted line password

  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Select your number.
  3. Go to Profile.
  4. Enable Restricted.
  5. Enter a password (minimum 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and numbers).
  6. Click Save to update.

Configure your phone

Use your phone’s Web UI to enter the following details:

  • Account DID: (See your Welcome email)
  • Password: The password you set for this number
  • Proxy: call.sipcity.com.au
  • Port: 5060
