A softphone lets you make and receive calls from your mobile device or computer, using a VoIP app. This is useful for remote workers and teams that make frequent calls.
Set up a softphone
- Install the softphone app on your device.
- If using a SIPcity-provided app, the proxy settings should be pre-configured. Otherwise, enter the proxy details (call.sipcity.com.au).
- Enter your username (your phone number) and password.
- Once registered, your phone status will show as “registered” and you can make and receive calls.
Note: Device Provisioning is not used to set up softphones. Softphones are configured manually with login credentials.
